I just want to write a very quick note of thanks again to everyone who joined us in Liberia for the first summit on the health care of the Ganta Hospital. It was a true blessing to see so many people work so hard for the betterment not only of a hospital but of a nation. I look forward to hearing your reflections and then sharing together as a community. May we continue to do the Lord's work together.

It‘s great that this blog now is starting. Thank you Eric. I often remember our stay at Liberia from Febr. 11th – 20th. I and all of the members of our delegation from Bethany Hospital Chemnitz, Germany got a lot of new, interesting and enriching impressions of the work of the United Methodist Church in this country and especially of Ganta United Methodist Hospital. None of us would like to miss this experience. It was also wonderful to have the opportunity to take part in the United Methodist Health Conference and it’s our hope that we can become a part of a growing Methodist health work network at Liberia.

We are planning to send a Basic Utility Vehicle (BUV) to Ganta. We had a donor who had promised it, but because of the economy he is unable to provide one. To get one we will need to raise $3500. We have the funds for shipping but not for the BUV. Any ideas.

The newly created blog on Ganta Hospital is highly welcomed and we can make our views known through this medium. We want to congratulate Rev. Swanson for this wonderful achievement.
